There are various solutions to treat crooked teeth but most take between 18 months to 3 years to achieve results using conventional orthodontic treatment or clear braces. However, the Six Month Smile solution can give you the smile that you want in a fraction of the time taken with conventional treatments, without the need for old-fashioned, bulky metal braces.
The Six Month Smile brace is essentially a system of clear wires and brackets that gently straightens teeth. This is done by focusing only on the teeth that show when you smile.
The Six Month Smiles process
▸ Initial examination:
After your initial examination where we will assess your general dental health and suitability for Six Month Smiles we’ll provide a written treatment plan complete with costs.
▸ Six Month Smiles treatment:
For your first Six Month Smile appointment we will fit your new brace. Over the course of the next six months we’ll meet with you a few times to make the necessary adjustments and discuss how you’re getting on.
▸ Upon completion:
Upon completion of the treatment we’ll carefully remove the brace and supply you with a retainer to be worn at your leisure to help maintain your new smile.

▸ How can the treatment work so fast?
The solution has been designed using the latest technology. The braces are constructed from a special form of nickel and titanium which enable the teeth to move into the correct position quickly and without causing any pain or discomfort. The Six Month Smiles system has been designed to treat patients with minor orthodontic problems relating specifically to the teeth which are visible when you smile. This means the brace focuses only on the front teeth thus reducing treatment time.
▸ Is the treatment suitable for everyone?
Six Month Smiles is more suitable for orthodontic problems at the front of the mouth, where teeth are more noticeable. For more complex orthodontic problems or issues which affect the back teeth you may be offered an alternative option.
▸ Are the braces painful?
Initially you may experience some mild pain and discomfort. However, this should soon wear off as you start to get used to the braces. Pain relief medication will ease the pain and make you feel more comfortable.
▸ Will I have to wear a retainer after the treatment is complete?
We advise all orthodontic patients to wear a retainer for a period of time after treatment to ensure the teeth are held in the correct position and to reduce the risk of relapse.
▸ Will the braces affect my speech?
Like any brace, you may find that your speech is mildly affected by wearing braces. However, this will soon subside and you will be able to speak normally.
